Devanathan is Anna's replacement

Sandhya Devanathan has been appointed as the Vice President of Meta India. Devanathan replaces Ajit Mohan, who resigned earlier this month. Social networking company Meta includes Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. Sandhya will start her new role from January 1, 2023.

She will be part of the APAC leadership team.

Her experience leading some of India’s most successful global brands and her passion for building world-class teams will help us accelerate our growth in this important market."

Sandhya is a strong leader and global executive with over 20 years of experience in global brands. She has worked with companies such as PepsiCo, Unilever and Nestle to build their brands across India, Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia.

Sandhya will join Meta after serving as CEO of Publicis Communications India. In this role, she led a team of over 1,200 employees across the country. Before that, she was an executive director at iProspect India and managing director at Dentsu Aegis Network India.

Sandhya has spent the last five years leading brands in India and beyond. She was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Contract Creative Services at Publicis Media. Prior to that, she was Managing Director of Leo Burnett’s Consumer Engagement division in India and South Asia.
